Stock Market Today: Today was a good day in the Indian stock market. Sensex and Nifty made new records. All major indices closed at the highest level. Many companies made profits from this. This rise in the market is positive news for investors.
Performance of Sensex and Nifty
On Thursday, the Sensex rose 666 points to reach 85,836 points. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 26,216 points, up 211 points. During the day, the Sensex made a new record of 85,930 points and the Nifty of 26,250 points.

Nifty Bank also performed well. It made a new high of 54,467 points. In the end, it closed at 54,375 points, up 273 points. This is also a positive sign.
Performance of major companies
Many of the big Sensex companies performed well. These include:
- Maruti Suzuki
- Tata Motors

- Mahindra & Mahindra
- Tata Steel
Only two companies, L&T and NTPC, closed in the red.
Midcap and Smallcap position
There was some pressure in the midcap and smallcap indices. Nifty Smallcap 100 fell by 96 points. It closed at 19,261 points. At the same time, Nifty Midcap 100 saw a slight increase of four points. It closed at 60,469 points.
Which sector is booming?
Many sectors witnessed growth on this day. Auto, IT, PSU banks, financial services, pharma, FMCG, metals and commodities saw growth. However, the consumer durable sector saw a decline.
