New Delhi. Former Indian captain and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has blamed India's flop batting for the 1-3 defeat against Australia. On Sunday, the Indian team lost the Sydney Test by 6 wickets. It had a chance to win this Test and end the series at 2-2, but the flop Indian batting could not save it here as well.

After this defeat, Ganguly said, 'We could not bat well, we have to bat well in Test cricket. If you score 170-180 runs then you will not be able to win in Test matches. You have to score 350-400 runs here.' On Sunday, Ganguly arrived in Kolkata on the occasion of Calcutta Sports Journalist Club (CCJC) Media Football Tournament.

Here Ganguly blamed the flop show of the middle order of the Indian team for India's defeat. He said, 'We cannot blame anyone. But everyone has to score runs.' When Dada was questioned about the form of Virat Kohli, who is going through a bad phase, he also expressed surprise. He said, ‘I am also unable to understand. He is really a great player but I am confident that he will come out of this bad phase.’

When Ganguly was asked about Rohit Sharma sitting out of the Sydney Test, he said, 'It was his personal decision and he knows what to do.' Ganguly has clearly given a message to the Indian team's batting that they have to score runs. Due to poor batting, the Indian team has been getting into trouble for some time now.
