Team India captain Rohit Sharma has leased out his property in Lower Parel, Mumbai, for a monthly rent of ₹2.60 lakh. According to property registration documents available on the website of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and reviewed by Square Yards, this transaction was officially registered in January 2025.

Lower Parel is one of Mumbai’s prime residential and commercial hubs, offering luxury living with excellent connectivity to major business districts like Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Nariman Point.

A Luxury Apartment by Lodha Group

The apartment, part of Lodha Marquis - The Park, is developed by Macrotech Developers Limited (Lodha Group). This premium residential project spans across seven acres and is fully ready for occupancy. As per Square Yards, the lease transaction involved a stamp duty payment of ₹16,300 and a registration charge of ₹1,000.

Rohit and His Father’s Real Estate Investments

Documents from the IGR reveal that Rohit Sharma, along with his father, Gurunath Sharma, purchased this apartment in March 2013 for ₹5.46 crore. Leasing it out for ₹2.60 lakh per month translates to a rental yield of approximately 6%.

Interestingly, the father-son duo had acquired two apartments in this project in 2013—one for ₹5.46 crore and another for ₹5.70 crore. The second apartment was also rented out by Rohit in October 2024, generating a monthly rental income of ₹2.65 lakh.

Rohit Sharma Focused on Champions Trophy in Dubai
