In an interview given to Bollywood Bubble, Prateik said, 'People think that I have started doing all this after coming into films, but this is not true, rather I have been addicted to it since the age of 13. Yes, I was afraid and I was going through a difficult phase at that time, there were a lot of problems in the family. My family was not normal like common people and things were very different.'
