
Popular Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh has announced his entry into Bihar politics. Speaking in Jamshedpur, he confirmed that after the Lok Sabha elections 2024, he will now contest the Bihar assembly elections.
When asked about contesting elections under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Pawan Singh stated that the final decision will be revealed in due time. However, he did not confirm his association with the party.

Ravi Kishan: From Bollywood to BJP MP
Ravi Kishan, a renowned Bhojpuri cinema superstar, made his mark in Bollywood before stepping into politics. He joined the BJP and has been elected twice as an MP from the Gorakhpur constituency.
Interestingly, before joining the BJP, Ravi Kishan was part of the Congress party. He contested the 2014 elections from Jaunpur but faced a heavy defeat. Since joining BJP, his political career has flourished, making him one of the most influential Bhojpuri actors-turned-politicians.
Manoj Tiwari: Three-Time BJP MP and Former Delhi BJP President
Manoj Tiwari, another famous Bhojpuri actor, has been actively involved in politics for many years. Initially, he was associated with the Samajwadi Party (SP) and contested the 2009 elections from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency, where he was defeated by Yogi Adityanath.
Later, he switched to BJP and has since been elected three times as an MP. Currently, he represents the North-East Delhi constituency. Additionally, he served as the Delhi BJP President and was even seen as a potential Chief Minister candidate.
Dinesh Lal Yadav "Nirahua": A BJP Leader from SP’s Stronghold
Popular Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, joined the BJP in 2019. He contested the elections from a traditional SP stronghold but faced an initial defeat. However, he later won the by-election, securing a seat in Parliament.
In the 2024 elections, Nirahua once again contested, but this time, he suffered a loss.
