PM Kisan Samman 19th Installment: Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana), farmers are given financial assistance of ₹ 6000 every year. Crores of farmers of the country are now waiting for the 19th installment. About 11 crore farmers benefited from the 18th installment released in October 2023.
When will the 19th installment be released?
According to media reports, the central government can release the 19th installment in February 2024. However, the official date has not been announced by the government yet. Let us tell you that under this scheme, the government sends the amount to the accounts of farmers in three installments in a year.
E-KYC is mandatory, otherwise the amount will be stuck
To avail the benefits of the scheme, it is necessary for farmers to complete the e-KYC process. Farmers who have not done e-KYC will not be able to avail the benefits of the next installment.
There are three options to get e-KYC done
OTP based e-KYC: This can be done through PM-Kisan portal or mobile app.
Biometric e-KYC: Can be done by visiting Common Service Center (CSC) or State Service Center (SSK).
Face authentication e-KYC: This facility is available on PM Kisan mobile app.
How to check beneficiary status?
If you want to know whether your name is in the beneficiary list or not, then follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of PM Kisan.
- Click on the option of “Beneficiary Status”.
- Enter Aadhaar number or account number and click on “Get Data”.
- Your status and payment details will appear on the screen.
How much has been spent so far?
So far, the government has released Rs 3.45 lakh crore under the scheme. This scheme was started in 2019 and its aim is to empower farmers economically.
Who will not get the benefit?
Those farmers who are not eligible or who have not completed e-KYC will not get the benefit of this scheme. Complete the e-KYC process in time so that the next installment can come into the account.
