NTPC Green Energy: Shares of NTPC Green Energy Limited may see a new energy on Monday, January 6. The reason for this is the excellent performance of the company's subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.

NTPC Renewable Energy has won 1000 MW solar power contract on 3rd January 2025 in the e-reverse auction conducted by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).

The purpose of this auction was to select developers for 2000 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar power projects in the country. This move by NTPC will not only enhance the company's credibility but will also strengthen its hold in the green energy sector.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has acquired a capacity of 1000 MW at a tariff of ₹2.56 per unit. Now the company is awaiting Letter of Award (LOA) from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).

First phase of solar project started in Gujarat

Recently, NTPC Green Energy Limited announced the commercial launch of the first phase of a 200 MW solar project in Gujarat. The company said on December 27 that this first phase of the solar PV project located in Sadla has now started functioning.

These achievements of NTPC reflect the strong position of the company in the field of renewable energy.

NTPC Group has taken another big step in the world of solar energy. The company has successfully started the first phase of its 200 MW solar project in Gujarat. Commercial production of 37.5 MW solar energy has started in this phase.

The project became operational from 21 December 2024 after receiving the certification from Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on 26 December 2024. This ambitious project was bagged by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited under GUVNL/500 MW/Solar (Phase XI) tender.

With this achievement, the total installed and commercial capacity of NTPC Group has now reached a new milestone of 76,598.18 MW.

NTPC Green Energy also shined in the stock market. On Friday, January 3, 2025, the company's shares closed at Rs 128.10 with a gain of 0.12% on the NSE.

This new chapter of solar energy in Gujarat clearly shows that NTPC Group is further strengthening its presence in the field of renewable energy.
