Hyderabad: Mumbai Indians are recognized for their active participation across the globe in various T20 leagues. They have recently added another team to their portfolios which consists of franchises for SA20, CPL, and ILT20. MI have now made their way into The Hundred by purchasing 49% of the Oval Invincibles franchise.

RIL through their subsidiary RISE Worldwide has also entered into a partnership with SCC. MI has received 49% stake of the Invincibles while Surrey continues to own 51% of the shares. It is estimated that RIL will make an initial payment of approximately 644 Crore rupees for the franchise. Oval Invincibles is the first franchise that was made available for sale under the governance of the new England and Wales Cricket Board. The existing valuation for Oval Invincibles is 1320 Crore Rupees.

The women’s team triumphed over Southern Brave in both 2021 and 2022 The Hundred tournaments, while the men were victorious in both 2023 and 2024 against Manchester Originals and Southern Brave respectively.

Nita Ambani, owner of MI, welcomed Oval Invincibles to the family.

MI is the most successful franchise in the Indian Premier League, having captured the title five times. Their wins came in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Also, MI has captured the Champions League title on a couple of times. MI Cape Town was recently crowned champions of the SA20 2025, and the first edition of the league.
