Loveyapa Box Office Collection Day 5: The romantic drama Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has completed five days in theaters. This film, marking the Bollywood debut of Aamir Khan’s son Junaid and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi, clashed with Himesh Reshammiya’s action-packed film BadAss Ravi Kumar at the box office. Unfortunately, neither of the films has managed to impress audiences significantly, leading to underwhelming collections. Let’s take a look at how Loveyapa performed on its fifth day in cinemas.
Day 5 Box Office Collection: ‘Loveyapa’ Shows Slight Growth
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Loveyapa collected ₹55 lakh on its fifth day, bringing its total earnings to approximately ₹5.60 crore so far. Interestingly, this figure surpasses the day 5 collection of BadAss Ravi Kumar, which managed to earn only ₹50 lakh on Tuesday. However, both films have struggled to pull in large audiences, and their box office numbers remain below expectations.
A Remake of a South Hit – But Failing to Recreate the Magic?
Loveyapa is the official Hindi remake of the South Indian blockbuster Love Today. While the original film was a massive success, the Bollywood adaptation seems to be struggling to replicate the same magic. Both Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor had previously made their acting debuts on OTT platforms—Khushi in The Archies and Junaid in Maharaj. However, their theatrical debut hasn’t received the grand response that many had anticipated.
Audience Response and Future Prospects
Despite the star-kid factor, Loveyapa has not been able to create significant buzz at the box office. Mixed reviews, lackluster word-of-mouth, and the film’s clash with BadAss Ravi Kumar have affected its overall performance. With its first-week collections looking unimpressive, the upcoming days will be crucial in determining whether Loveyapa can sustain itself in theaters or fade out quickly.
