Her charming presence and chemistry with co-star Jugal Hansraj made her an instant favorite.
Short-Lived Stardom Despite a Hit Debut
Following the success of Mohabbatein, Kim received offers for various films like:

Despite initial buzz, none of these films matched the success of her debut. Her career started to fade as she struggled to find a hit project. Eventually, her presence in Bollywood diminished.

Relationship with Yuvraj Singh
In 2003, Kim began dating former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The couple dated for four years and were often seen together at events. However, they parted ways quietly, with both moving on in their respective careers.
A Sudden Marriage and Move to Kenya
In 2010, Kim married Kenya-based Indian businessman Ali Punjani. The couple met during a safari trip and got married within a week of knowing each other, shortly after Ali’s divorce. Kim left acting and shifted to Kenya.
However, the marriage did not last long. The relationship ended in divorce in 2017, following allegations of Ali’s affairs.
Life After Divorce: Financial Struggles and Return to India
Following the divorce, Kim returned to Mumbai. She openly shared her financial struggles, even referring to herself as bankrupt in a tweet that read:
“You danced all night in 'Coldplay' and then when you returned home, you found out that you do not have a single penny.”
She also lost her job in Ali’s hotel business and was left without financial support.
New Relationships and Career Path
Back in India, Kim dated actor Harshvardhan Rane briefly in 2018, and later began a relationship with tennis star Leander Paes. Both relationships eventually ended.
Currently, as per her Instagram bio, Kim Sharma is working as an Executive Vice President at DCA Talent, a company affiliated with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
