Indian Cricket Team: Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has expressed his displeasure after Team India's defeat in Adelaide. He has advised the Indian players to come out of the hotel and practice as much as possible. Team India had to face defeat by 10 wickets in Adelaide. After the shameful defeat in Perth, the Kangaroo team made a strong comeback and leveled the series 1-1.

Gavaskar's advice

Gavaskar has asked Indian cricketers to use the two extra days for practice after the early finish in Adelaide. He stressed that it is not right to waste precious time to hone one's potential. Gavaskar criticized the practice of alternative training sessions. The second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy ended within two and a half days. India was bowled out for less than 200 runs in both innings.

Now this is just a 3 Test match series!

Speaking to the broadcaster, Gavaskar said that India now has two extra days to adapt and prepare for the conditions in Brisbane. The third Test match of the series will start on December 14. Gavaskar said, "Look at the rest of the series as a three-match series. Forget that it was a five-Test series. I want the Indian team to use the next few days to practice. This is very important. You cannot sit in your hotel room or wherever you are going because you have come here to play cricket.''

What did Gavaskar say?

Gavaskar said, “You don't need to practice all day. You can practice in the morning or afternoon, whatever time you want, but don't waste these days. If the Test match lasted for five days, you would have been playing a Test match here. You have to give yourself more time to get into rhythm because you have not been able to score runs. Your bowlers are not in rhythm. TOther players needtime in between.”

Praise for Kohli

Gavaskar expressed his displeasure over the optional practice session. He said that the captain and coach should decide about it, not any player. The great cricketer emphasized that young players should be especially eager to spend more time on the field. He also praised Virat Kohli for practicing at the nets on the third day of the Adelaide Test.
