Today, she holds a significant position in Karnataka’s administrative services, serving the public with the same dedication that once made her a household name.
Early Acting Career: Over 30 Films and 48 TV Shows
Born in Hosakere village of Tumkur district, Karnataka, HS Keerthana began acting at the age of four. Her talent earned her roles in numerous Kannada films and TV serials. Some of her notable appearances include:

The Shift from Cinema to Civil Services
Driven by a desire to serve society, Keerthana shifted her focus to academics. In 2011, she cleared the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) exam and served as a KAS officer for two years. Determined to rise further, she continued to prepare for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination.
IAS Journey: Persistence Pays Off
It wasn't an easy path. Keerthana cracked the UPSC exam on her sixth attempt, securing an All India Rank of 167. Her success is a testament to perseverance and dedication. Her first posting as an IAS officer was in Mandya district, Karnataka, where she served as Assistant Commissioner.
Current Role: Leading Public Administration in Karnataka
HS Keerthana currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Panchayat in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka. From entertaining millions to now serving thousands through grassroots governance, her journey continues to inspire.
