In the olden days, women did not get divorced frequently which led to a negative perception towards separation after marriages. Nowadays, people tend to look at divorce from a different angle but even a few decades ago, it was seen as a social taboo. Many actresses had to deal with these issues as well. Numerous stars went through multiple divorces and while they flourished professionally, their personal life was shattered. One such actress went through a lot of troubling affairs but held herself strong and kept moving forward with her life.
Began working as a child at the age of 12
Twelve years old is when this actress began to work, and as a result, she is now a well-known name in each household. However, her journey in the TV industry was not how smooth sailing as one would think.
This actress spent years dealing with issues in her personal life. In her mid teens, this actress fell in love and got married at a very young age which was against the wish of her family. A few years later, the couple became parents to a girl who is another famous actress of the film industry today. Worked in Bhojpuri industry
With a career spanning virtually two decades, Shweta Tiwari began with the Bhojpuri film industry before making her way into Hindi television. In the early 2000s, she got casted in an Ekta Kapoor’s TV serial ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ where she played the lead role of Prerna. At that time, the show received immense love and support which translated into astonishing TRP numbers. During the course of the show, she went from earning Rs. 5000 to 2.25 lakh a day, making her the highest paid actress at that time.
got married at a young age
In 2010-2011, she was the winner of Bigg Boss Season 4 and had previously participated as a contestant in ‘Nach Baliye Season 2.’
She has performed throughout her life in several television shows and reality shows. Shweta Tiwari has received outpouring love from fans, not only from her artistic work. She got married to director Raja Chaudhary when she was only 18 years old. He was 23 and they defied both their families to get married. Her daughter Palak Tiwari happens to be a prominent actress who has worked with Salman Khan in the movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.’ The actress has discussed this marriage on several platforms and stated that Raja would come home intoxicated every night, followed by violent bouts. This was the norm for 9 years, after which they chose to part ways.

The actress also alleged that Raja would create a scene on the sets of her serials. When asked why she did not walk out of this relationship, Shweta said, “In the whole of my family, no one had done a love marriage, I took the chance. There were issues of casteism in our family, but I went ahead and married out of caste. My mother had already started getting a lot of negative remarks and my marriage was under scrutiny. And if I had gone ahead and divorced, that would have been an entirely different story. At that time, I was not without a job, but this decision was more emotional in nature rather than rational.” The divorce took 5 years In such a situation, Shweta reveals she was able to get the divorce after 5 years. In an interview to the Times of India, she stated that she had to pay her husband quite a significant sum of money. Shweta Tiwari gave him her one bedroom hall kitchen apartment at Malad in Mumbai.
This flat belonged to Shweta and her ex-husband Raja, but she transferred ownership to him in return for custody of their daughter. In 2013, Shweta remarried Kohli after a three year courtship. They welcomed a son together name Reyansh Kohli. This marriage, however, was short lived as the actress filed for divorce while leveling serious claims against Abhinav. Now, the actress stays with her children, and is thriving at 44, looking nothing short of a goddess.
