The last date for UAN (Universal Account Number) activation and linking Aadhaar to bank account has been extended again. Now 15 January 2025 is the new deadline

Earlier this deadline was fixed as 30 November 2024, which was later extended to 15 December 2024. But now EPFO ​​has extended it to 15 January 2025. EPFO ​​gave this information in the circular issued on 20 December.

Why is UAN and Aadhaar linking necessary?

Activating UAN and linking Aadhaar to bank account is mandatory for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under ELI scheme. This process is part of the scheme created by the government to provide financial assistance and promote employment generation.

ELI Scheme: Benefits will be available in three categories
