Her Journey from Modeling to Films
Divya Bharti left school at the age of 14 to pursue modeling. Her first opportunity came when Kirti Kumar, brother of actor Govinda, cast her in Radha Ka Sangam. However, she was later replaced by Juhi Chawla.
Divya made her debut in the Telugu film Bobbili Raja, which turned out to be a massive success in South India. Her Bollywood break came with the film Vishwatma, co-starring Sunny Deol. The movie's songs became hugely popular, especially “Saat Samundar.”
On-Screen Chemistry with Shahrukh Khan
Divya starred alongside Shahrukh Khan in the 1992 film Deewana, which marked SRK's Bollywood debut. The movie was a box-office hit and firmly established Divya as a leading actress. She was just 18 at the time. Following this success, she married film producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
