Champions Trophy 2025 : The wait is finally over! After an eight-year hiatus, the prestigious Champions Trophy is making its grand return. - Sarfaraz Ahmed – Captain of Pakistan’s 2017 Champions Trophy-winning team
- Shane Watson – Former Australian all-rounder
- Tim Southee – New Zealand’s experienced fast bowler
These four cricketing icons will not only write exclusive columns during the tournament but will also be present at various matches, adding excitement and insight to the competition.
Shikhar Dhawan’s Special Connection with the Champions Trophy
Speaking about his role as a brand ambassador, Shikhar Dhawan expressed his excitement and nostalgia for the tournament. In a statement released by the ICC, he said:
"Being a part of the Champions Trophy has always been special for me, and it’s an honor to serve as an ambassador for this prestigious event. I have many fond memories attached to this tournament."
Dhawan’s love affair with the Champions Trophy is well-documented. He has played in the tournament twice and won the Golden Bat award (given to the highest run-scorer) on both occasions—a feat no other player in the world has achieved. The left-handed opener has scored a total of 701 runs for India in the Champions Trophy, making him India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament’s history. His outstanding performance in the 2013 edition earned him the Player of the Tournament award.
