Virat Kohli record in Champions Trophy 2025: The dates for the champions trophy 2025 fixtures has been set and it will start on 19th February. Though BCCI has not released the final list of players in the Indian National team, one thing is certain and that is, Virat Kohli making it to the legends list again.

Since he is one of the finest players in Indian’s cricketing history, it does not come as a surprise that he has many milestones to his 16 year career. However, a Champions Trophy century is something that is sadly missing from his commendable achievements logbook. This year, India would be participating in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and Kohli would be trying his best to get rid of that trophy ache.

A Near Miss in 2017

So far in his career for Champions Trophy, Kohli has played 13 matches and scored 529 runs with and average of over 40 with five half centuries in twelve innings. Although he has been a great performer in the field, he is still yet to score an ICC champion trophy century.

The 2017 semi final against the Bangladesh was the closest he could come. He faced an amazing target of 266 runs which India accomplished in the 41st over. Rohit Sharma kept his game on point and secured 123 runs without getting out and Kohli almost got to the mark but only scored 96 runs off 78 balls.

India will face Bangladesh in their opening match, which is scheduled for 20th February 2025. After that, India will take on Pakistan on February 23 and wrap up the group stages on March 2 by going up against New Zealand, in that order.

With Kohli having struggled for the past year and his form dipping dramatically, Kohli will eye the game as a means to not only start scoring again but more importantly also score his first century in a Champions trophy game. The game against Bangladesh might be the perfect opportunity for him to begin that search.

Ahmedabad will teem with people and anxiousness will be palpable when Kohli walks back to the pitch to play against his longtime Adversary Bangladesh in the ICC Champions trophy. This cup is notably the last time he and Rohit Sharma will contend in the tournament.
