Bollywood star Varun Dhawan has come onboard for the new project from the ‘Border’ franchise and he was spotted along with the director Anurag Singh and other members at the production facility in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh.

The film draws out unique heroics and emotions deep in the untouched military gharis of Jhansi. The film's plot is revolved around the great storyline along with tense action and emotional turmoil.

Varun was spotted here in a tagline along with Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta, where they were holding a movie clapboard of their new measurement while also showcasing posters.

The highly known film is directed by ‘Anurag Singh’ and is the secquel to the movie Border 1997 with the backdrop of the 1971 Indo Pak war along with Battle of Longewala peoject. J P Dutta has directed this film as well.

The cast includes Sharbani Mukherjee, Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Puneet Issar, Suniel Shetty, Sudesh Berry, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

Varun, Sunny, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh are the lead cast of “Border 2.” Judging by the storyline, it appears to be a Kargil war movie. Pakistani soldiers invaded Indian post mostly in Kargil in the beginning of 1999.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, A. Krishan Kumar, Nidhi and JP Dutta, renowned producers in the industry. Under the direction of Anurag Singh along with T-Series and JP Film’s Gulshan Kumar, the film is a JP Dutta sequel, weaved with sheer sacrifice, grit and patriotism which is certain to entertain the audience.

The date of reveal is set on January 23, 2026.

Varun paid respect to “the real soldiers” of India during Army Day which fell on January 15 Sens.
