Reason for Leaving Bollywood and Showbiz

During an interview with Waves Retro, Aarif Khan explained his reasons for leaving Bollywood as restlessness and lack of peace in life. Even when he tried to better his lifestyle, he always felt like something was off. He felt ignored by everyone around him and began questioning why big production houses refused to give him work. Aarif confessed that he started adopting very unhealthy coping mechanisms including drug addiction all to try and find some peace and sleep. Eventually, after 7-8 years of working in the industry, he turned to religion and Allah for help.

He became popular online for the first time during the COVID-19 lockdown, after which he appeared in 15 films including ‘Haseena Aur Naagin’, ‘Muskurahat’, ‘Ahankaar’, ‘Zameer The Awakening of a Soul’, ‘Veergati’, ‘Diljale’, and ‘Mohra.’ ‘A Mighty Heart,’ released in 2007, was the last appearance on screen.
