
Adani Wilmar Q3 Update: Adani Wilmar, an Adani Group company operating in the FMCG sector, released its update for the third quarter of FY 2025 today i.e. on January 4, 2025. In a notice to the stock market, the company said that the volume grew by 6% year-on-year in the quarter ended December 31, 2024, due to which Adani Wilmar's revenue grew by 33% compared to the same quarter last year. The company claimed in the exchange filing that this growth was achieved despite a steep increase in prices due to rising raw material costs.
Growth of packaged products remained in double digit
In an exchange filing, the company said that the edible oils segment witnessed a trend towards cheaper options among consumers, but the company maintained its market share with a wide portfolio of brands at various price points. In the food category, key packaged products such as wheat flour, rice, nuggets, pulses, poha and sugar continued to register strong double-digit growth, the Q3 update said.
Adani Eneterprises will sell its entire stake in Adani Wilmar
Recently, Adani Group's flagship company Adani Enterprises has decided to sell its entire shareholding in Adani Wilmar. The company has finalized the deal to sell its 44% stake in Adani Wilmar. According to a statement issued by the company on Monday (30 December), the deal will be completed in two phases. Adani Group will get around $2.2 billion i.e. around Rs 18,817 crore from this agreement.
Adani Wilmar is a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and Wilmar International and was started in the year 1999. Adani Wilmar sells packaged food products such as edible oils, packaged wheat flour, pulses, gram flour and sugar. Fortune, Kohinoor and Kings are some of the major brand names of the company.
Adani Wilmar stock lost 13.38% in one year
Adani Wilmar shares closed at Rs 328.55 on Friday (January 3) down 0.56% on the BSE. The stock has fallen 1.99% in the last one month while the stock has declined 13.38% in the last one year. The stock's 52-week high is Rs 408.70 and low is Rs 279.20. The company's market cap is Rs 39,926.13 crore.
