The maximum limit of bonus is expected to be Rs 7000
The maximum limit of bonus given by the government on Diwali is expected to be Rs 7000. Its benefit will be available to 14.82 lakh employees of the state government, which also includes daily wage earners and work charge employees. Giving a bonus on Diwali will put a burden of Rs 1025 crore on the state government treasury. A decision regarding this is expected to be taken soon in the UP cabinet meeting. Apart from this, the government can announce dearness allowance/dearness relief for employees and pensioners. The Yogi government of UP will also increase the honorarium of cooks.
Salary is also expected to come before November 1.
Sources claim that after the bonus paperwork is ready, the finance department will get the consent of the state government. The order to issue the bonus will be given only after the consent. Since the Diwali festival is on October 31 this time, salary is also expected to come before November 1. If the government gives the bonus and DA hike money before Diwali, then the employees will be happy. Apart from the employees, eight lakh pensioners are also waiting for the decision to be taken by the government on DR. Last year also, the employees were given a bonus of Rs 7,000.
Preparations are also being made to increase the uniform allowance
. Before the festival of Diwali, the Yogi government is preparing to give gifts to the policemen. The government is expected to increase the uniform allowance of the non-gazetted police employees by three times. This can be announced by CM Yogi on Police Memorial Day on October 21. If this decision is taken, then the scope will include Inspector, Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector, Head Constable, Constable, and employees of equivalent rank.
When will the Eighth Pay Commission be constituted?
There have been demands for the Eighth Pay Commission from various government employee unions. However, the government does not have any proposal to constitute the Eighth Pay Commission yet. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on July 30, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, 'Two representations have been received for the formation of the Eighth Central Pay Commission in June 2024.
