Hyderabad: The third and final match of the three-match T20 series between India and Bangladesh is being played today i.e. Saturday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Batsman Sanju Samson gave a stormy start to the Indian team which came to bat first after winning the toss. Sanju thrashed the Bangladeshi bowlers in Hyderabad and scored the first century of his T20 International career.
Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju completed his half-century in just 22 balls. After this, he continued to thrash the Bangladeshi bowlers. Sanju continued to play an explosive innings and then completed his first T20I century in just 40 balls. This is the second fastest century in T20I for India. Now only Rohit Sharma is ahead of Sanju, who has scored a century in 35 balls.
Samson hit Bangladesh spinner Rishad Hussain for five consecutive sixes in the 10th over of India's innings. Sanju was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman in the 14th over. Samson scored 111 runs in 47 balls. During his century innings, Samson hit 11 fours and eight sixes. He shared a 173-run partnership with captain Suryakumar for the second wicket in just 70 balls.
Based on Sanju and Surya's stormy innings, India scored the highest score of 297 runs for 6 wickets. A total of 22 sixes and 25 fours were hit in this match. Suryakumar scored 75 runs with the help of eight fours and five sixes in 35 balls, Riyan Parag scored 34 runs with the help of one four and four sixes in 13 balls, while Hardik Pandya played a stormy innings of 47 runs with the help of four fours and as many sixes in 18 balls.
India scored 82 runs for the loss of one wicket in the powerplay itself. After this, it crossed the 100-run mark in just 7.1 overs, which is its fastest 100 runs in T20I cricket. Earlier in 2019, the record for scoring the fastest 100 runs at Wankhede was against West Indies.
