New Delhi: Zimbabwe has set the biggest score in T20I cricket history. The team led by Sikandar Raza has set this world record against Gambia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier Group B 2024 match being played in Nairobi.
Zimbabwe cricket team made the highest score of 344 runs in 20 overs. In this match, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza played a stormy innings of 133 runs in just 43 balls with the help of seven fours and 15 sixes. In the match, all the batsmen together hit a total of 27 sixes.
Sikandar Raza's century is the first century ever scored by a Zimbabwean player in a men's T20I. Dion Myers had scored 96 runs against Rwanda a day earlier, which was the highest score by any batsman on the team. Sikandar Raza had taken five wickets against Rwanda a day earlier, on Wednesday he showed his batting prowess.
Apart from him, Brian Bennett scored 50 runs in 26 balls with the help of seven fours and one six, while wicketkeeper T Marumani scored 62 runs in just 19 balls with the help of nine fours and one six. Apart from him, Clive Madane played an unbeaten innings of 53 runs in just 17 balls with the help of three fours and five sixes.
Let us tell you that Zimbabwe is playing in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier Group B in Nairobi and has set a new world record by scoring the highest score in T20I cricket history. Zimbabwe had scored 286/5 against Seychelles only four days ago and now it has scored the highest score for a full-member nation in this format.

After setting a new world record in batting, Zimbabwe also set a new world record in bowling. Zimbabwe's bowlers bowled out the Gambia for 54 runs in 14.4 overs and then set another world record.
Zimbabwe won this match by 290 runs which is the biggest victory by margin of runs in T20I. Before this, Nepal's biggest victory was by 273 runs against Mongolia.
