Now, the good news is that the actor is likely to be discharged from Lilavati Hospital today. The Bandra metropolitan magistrate’s court has sent the accused for five days police custody, as of now.
Mumbai: The man in question, who is said to have stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Bandra, has crossed the border from Bangladesh into India approximately seven months earlier. According to the police, Furkar, or who changed his name to Vijay Das, crossed the Dawki River to come into India.

The doctors who treated the Sedition actor at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai stated that he is in stable condition and will be discharged on the same day as his admission.Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir (30), the person who attacked Sai Ali Khan, was nabbed from Thane three days later. The man in question is a Bangladeshi citizen who has illegally immigrated into the country, according to information provided by Mumbai Police. The police further informed on Tuesday that he had acquired an Aadhaar card registered to a citizen of West Bengal so he could obtain a SIM card prior to relocating to Mumbai.
As per an official, the armed man lived for a short duration in West Bengal and obtained an SIM card with the help of the credentials of a resident. This was done to enable his travel to Mumbai in pursuit of work. The primary investigation outlines that the number of the SIM which was provided to the suspect was issued in the name of a woman – Khukumoni Jahangir Sekha who resides in West Bengal. In the midst of the mess, the police have collected multiple fingerprints of the accused from the actor's building. The evidence suggests that the accused was present in the crime locale like the bathroom window from where he came in and went out of the space, the duct shaft, and the ladder from which he made an entry through the duct.Reiterating an official told the press that, " The forensic team also visited the building," and The local police and crime branch fingerprinted the premises in the actor's Satguru Sharan building.
For 2 Hours, the Accused Remained Hidden Within The Garden
As per the allegations, Following the stabbing of bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence located in the upscale premises of Bandra Satguru Sharan apartments, the assailant spent roughly 2 hours in concealment, hiding around the garden of the building in an attempt to avoid any potential capture.Fakir was hiding in the garden inside the Satguru Sharan building in which the family of Saif Ali lives claiming that he did the crime on January 16. The official said he was frightened of being caught, he remained there for approximately two hours, said the police in the preliminary investigation according to PTI.
The accused was taken to the Police five days ago following the Metroplitan Magistrate's court of Bandra's orders. On Tuesday, we recreated the crime scene with the accused.
