The film, which is in the Malayalam language, is scheduled to be released on February 16, 2025, although the date is expected to remain close even after that. The producers of the film, Mohan Devamandalam and Shinu M John also shared the pleasure of being nominated by 'BAFTA' claiming they were thrilled.

The turning point at the ceremony comes when the British Academy finally lifts the veil. Among all nominated are Bollywood films, giving them hope for the chance to win, as this year has elbows deep with talented artists such as Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine As Light, with Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam to name a few leading.

In the BAFTA longlist, Payal stood as a nominee for the Best Director on the list as well. The accolades however were won by Sean Baker (Anora), Brady Corbet(The Brutalist), Edward Berger (Conclave), Denis Villeneuve, Jacques Audiard(Emilia Pérez) and Coralie Fargeat(The Substance).

Among All We Imagine As Light was also included in the list for Original Screenplay but alongside Anora, The Brutalists, Kneecap, A Real Pain, only The Substance managed to get to the last round.
